Our stackable vial trays come in three kinds: 3 ml trays for 2 ml and 3 ml vials, 10 ml trays for 10 ml vials, and a Mixed tray that holds both. Each vial stands upright in its own cell. Trays lock together with a stacking lip, and one lid closes the top of the stack. Start with one tray and a lid, then add more trays whenever you need the space.

Every tray and how many vials it holds
| Tray | Holds | Footprint |
|---|---|---|
| 3 ml, 10 vials | 10 vials (5 x 2) | 98 x 45 mm |
| 3 ml, 50 vials | 50 vials (10 x 5) | 186 x 98 mm |
| 3 ml, 100 vials | 100 vials (10 x 10) | 186 x 186 mm |
| 10 ml, 3 vials | 3 vials | 98 x 45 mm |
| 10 ml, 21 vials | 21 vials (7 x 3) | 186 x 98 mm |
| 10 ml, 49 vials | 49 vials (7 x 7) | 186 x 186 mm |
| Mixed, 81 vials | 21 x 10 ml and 60 x 3 ml | 186 x 186 mm |
Cell sizes
3 ml cells are 16.5 mm across and 14 mm deep. They take 2 ml and 3 ml vials up to 16.2 mm across and 42 mm tall including the cap, which covers most 3 ml vials at about 16 mm.
10 ml cells are 22.4 mm square and 20 mm deep. They take 10 ml vials up to 22 mm across and 56 mm tall including the cap.
The Mixed tray raises its 3 ml cells so the caps sit close to level with the 10 ml caps. 3 ml vials up to 38 mm tall fit in this tray.

How stacking works
Every tray has a 4 mm locating lip on top, which makes the trays easy to line up and slot together. The lip and a groove underneath keep the stack from sliding apart. Trays and lids click together, and grip tabs on the front and back make them easy to separate again.
The rule is simple: trays stack with any tray of the same footprint, under the same lid. A 3 ml tray and a 10 ml tray of the same footprint go in one stack without any trouble.
A 3 ml tray is 45 mm tall in the stack and a 10 ml tray is 58 mm tall. The lid adds about 6 mm. Every tray has a recessed panel on the front, so you can label what is inside.
Which trays stack together
| Footprint | 3 ml tray | 10 ml tray | Cartridge tray |
|---|---|---|---|
| 98 x 45 mm | 10 vials | 3 vials | 12 cartridges |
| 186 x 98 mm | 50 vials | 21 vials | 78 cartridges |
| 186 x 186 mm | 100 vials | 49 vials, plus Mixed 81 | 169 cartridges |

Cartridge trays share the footprints
The Stackable Cartridge Trays are built on the same footprints, the same stacking lip and the same lids. Each cartridge sits upright in its own square slot, so they do not roll or knock together. Slots are 12 mm square and 18 mm deep and take standard 3 ml cartridges up to 11.7 mm across and 64 mm long, with 2 mm of room above each one.
A cartridge tray is 67 mm tall, including its 4 mm lip. Because it shares the footprint, you can build one stack of vial and cartridge trays under a single lid.
Choose your pack
- 1 tray + lid: one tray with a matching lid. The place to start.
- 2 or 3 trays + lid (3 ml sizes): a ready-made stack.
- Extra tray (no lid): add it under the lid you already have to grow a stack.
There is also a Mixed set of 181 vials: a 3 ml 100-vial tray, a Mixed 81 tray and one lid, stacked. It holds 160 x 3 ml and 21 x 10 ml vials and stands about 109 mm tall on a 186 x 186 mm footprint.
Trays are available in four styles, Twist, Flutes, Hexagon and Smooth, and in Black, White or Grey. They are printed in tough PETG, which is easy to wipe clean, and made to order in the UK. They are not dishwasher safe.
