Files and materials
What file formats do you accept?
STL, 3MF and STEP are ideal. OBJ works too. If you have something else, or just a link to a model on Printables or Thingiverse, send it over and we will sort it out.
What materials do you print in?
PLA (rigid and detailed, right for most jobs), PETG (tougher and handles heat better, good for functional parts), and TPU (flexible and rubbery). Not sure? Tell us what the part is for and we will recommend one. That advice is free.
My file might be broken and I am not sure it will print. Can you check?
Yes. File checks are free and carry no obligation. We will tell you if walls are too thin, overhangs need supports, or the model needs repair, and what to do about it.
Can you design a model for me from scratch?
Our core service is printing your files rather than CAD design. For simple tweaks (scaling, splitting a big model, adding a hole) we can usually help, so ask. For full design work we will point you to a designer, then print the result.
How big can you print?
Up to 256×256×256mm in one piece. Bigger objects are printed in sections and joined. Cosplay props are our bread and butter, so do not let size put you off.
Ordering and delivery
How fast will I get my part?
Quote within 24 hours, dispatch within 2 to 4 working days for most jobs, then Royal Mail Tracked 48. Typical door to door: under a week. Need it faster? Rush service (+50%) jumps your job to the front of the queue.
How do I pay?
Card or PayPal, from the invoice we send with your quote. Orders under £50 are paid upfront. Larger jobs are a 50% deposit with the balance before dispatch.
What does postage cost?
Charged at cost and shown separately on your quote, typically £3 to £8 tracked depending on size. We never mark up postage. Local to us? Free collection.
Do you ship outside the UK?
The UK is our focus (it is how we stay fast). International on request, so get in touch.
Quality and guarantees
How do I know the print will be good?
Every order is inspected before dispatch, and functional parts are dimension checked with calipers. If we got it wrong, we reprint or refund. Simple as that.
What if it arrives damaged?
Everything ships tracked with compensation cover. Photograph the damage, email us, and we will reprint straight away and deal with the courier ourselves.
How strong are 3D printed parts?
Strong, but directional. Printed parts are weaker between layers, like wood along the grain. Tell us how your part will be loaded and we will orient the print and choose infill to suit. For anything safety critical, this process is not the right one, and we will say so.
What we will and will not print
Can you print a model I bought or downloaded?
Yes, if the licence allows it. Lots of models are free for personal printing, and having us print one for you usually counts. What we cannot do is print trademarked or copyrighted designs you do not have rights to.
What do you refuse to print?
Weapon parts and anything regulated (strictly illegal in the UK regardless of intent), safety critical components (climbing gear, helmet mounts, load bearing brackets for people), medical devices, and infringing designs. If we are unsure, we will ask. If it is a no, we will tell you quickly.
Is my design kept confidential?
Yes. Your files are never shared, reused or printed for anyone else, and we will delete them on request. Working on something sensitive? We are happy to sign an NDA.
